Don’t wait for your dog to “get it wrong”, set them up for success by letting them know when they are “doing it right” and building off of that.
To work with a dog, you need to know how a dog learns and communicates. I don’t believe in silencing behaviour through aversive methods because let’s be honest with ourselves…that energy has to go somewhere at some point and when it does it’s usually not pretty.
There is a lot of misinformation being given when it comes to dog training as it is an unregulated industry. I believe consumers should demand more of the people working with their dogs, and ask for credentials and certifications that show they have gone through an educational program that has taught them how animals learn as well as science-based and modern behaviour modification techniques.
I was lucky enough to be accepted into the Academy for Dog Trainers several years ago and spent two years learning about and being tested on things such as animal learning, breed classifications, operant conditioning, classical conditioning, building a training plan, husbandry behaviours, fear and aggression and much more. Through this, I have received a Certification in Training and Behaviour Counseling and a bunch of knowledge I would love to share with the world. Check out the curriculum here if you’re interested!
I believe in giving dogs choices and helping them excel in our human world. If you are just looking for some mental enrichment or basic obedience training for your dog I would love to teach them some behaviours or tricks. If you are dealing with something more in-depth such as reactivity, pulling on the leash, fear-based behaviours, separation anxiety, etc. I would love to have a chance to talk to you about how we can work together to find the sweet spot where both you and your dog are happy in your own specific situation.

Training Price List
Dog training has a lot to do with training the owners on how to work with and understand their dogs. Most training sessions will involve us working together, with me coaching you how to work towards the behavior you need. At the end of each session, you will get some homework to complete to help work towards achieving the end goal that we set.
To book a session first head over to our client intake questionnaire. Fill that out and I will be in touch to book your consultation or first session!
Basic Obedience
There are a lot of resources out there to show you how to teach your dog how to sit, stay, lay down, go to their place, walk nicely on a leash, etc. Unfortunately, those resources don’t show you how to troubleshoot or give you feedback to personalize the training to the needs of your dog. Obedience sessions come with individualized coaching, vetted training plans, and post-session support to help build the behavior to the level you need it to be at.

Fear & Aggression
Fear and aggression are complex behaviours that require individualized training plans developed by a qualified individual. They are not behaviours that are solved with “quick fixes” as often there are underlying emotional needs that need to be addressed. I work with only force-free and fear-free techniques, helping you to change your dog’s emotional response to triggers in their life.
